Finding the Perfect Temperature for your Refrigerator

What’s more frustrating than finding some of our food frozen and having to throw it out afterwards? It’s happened to most of us: find your lettuce completely frozen and like a slab, or, in the opposite, pouring yourself a glass of milk a little too warm.

Have you ever thought about the temperature your fridge should be set at? The ideal temperature for a fridge is approximately between 35 and 38 degrees F. Unfortunately, Fridges aren’t as consistent as it might seem. If you have a new or super high-end fancy with all of the self-regulating controls, it might be. However most people have regular appliances and have to do a little more maintenance and adjust the settings manually.

The main goal of a refrigirator is to keep things cold but also, to slow the growth of bacteria and decay so that you can enjoy your food and in order to do so, the ideal temperature has to be maintained. Bacteria are likely to start growing around the 40 degree point and the freezing point is at 32 degrees. Here are a few tips to keep your fridge at the right temperature and keeping it constant. Keeping it constant, by the way, will help make sure the maintenance of your fridge is minimal.  A tip of advice our team can give you is to always keep your fridge full. The more cold things inside, the less the temperature will fluctuate each time you open the fridge door. You can even refill empty bottles with water to keep your fridge full.
